General terms and conditions

Introduction

In these Terms and Conditions ("Agreement"), we set out the terms and conditions applicable between you, the person registering one or more students, (which in this document also refers to "you" or "your"), and TypeOlymp (which in this document also refers to "TypeOlymp", "we", "us" or "our"). In this Agreement, you and we are each referred to as Party and collectively as Parties.

Definitions

In this Agreement, the following definitions shall apply:

  • Student
    Person who is registered by You and participates by logging in into the online learning environment with his or her personal account.

Artikel 2 - The agreement

This Agreement comes into effect at the moment of acceptance of the offer. By fully completing and submitting the sign up form, you enter into this Agreement with TypeOlymp and declare that you agree to the conditions as stated here and are responsible for the execution of the rights and obligations (and therefore also for the manner of execution by one or more other persons you have registered for the services). The Agreement is concluded once the acceptance of you has reached TypeOlymp and TypeOlymp has confirmed its receipt.

Artikel 3 - Right of withdrawal when providing services

You are not entitled to a right of withdrawal. Indeed, after the conclusion of the Agreement, TypeOlymp will make digital content (not delivered by DVD or CD) available to you through a personalised account. By accepting this Agreement, you declare that you waive your reflection/right of withdrawal.

Artikel 4 - Pricing

1. You pay the funds due in advance by means of an iDeal payment, a credit card payment, via bank transfer or any other method offered on the website. You are obliged to provide TypeOlymp with all data required for payment correctly and completely.

Artikel 5 - Other conditions

1. The Student should handle his/her password with care, keep it secret and keep or store it in a safe place. The Student should immediately report loss, theft or (suspected) misuse or improper use of the password by a third party to TypeOlymp. Until the time of the notification, the Student is liable for all damages and costs arising from access to and use of the website and its content obtained by means of the password.

2. In case of downtime at one of our applications, where the nature is on the side of TypeOlymp, no refund can be claimed. TypeOlymp shall ensure to remedy the downtime within 24 hours (on working days).

Artikel 6 - Period of validity

1. An account at TypeOlymp has a validity period of one year. After this period the account will be closed and all associated (personal) data will be removed from TypeOlymp's database and/or made anonymous.

Artikel 7 - Availability of the product

1. TypeOlymp will make every effort to offer the availability of its products to the best of its ability. However, it cannot guarantee that downtime will ever occur.

2. TypeOlymp reserves the right to perform maintenance on its web products resulting in them being temporarily inaccessible or unavailable. TypeOlymp will make every effort to plan these periods so that there is as little disruption as possible for the Student.

3. The Student is responsible for an adequate security level of hardware and software. TypeOlymp is not responsible for any damage caused to hardware or software of the Student by the use of its services.

Artikel 8 - Right of use

1. Use of the online learning environment provided by TypeOlymp is permitted only to the Student(s) registered by you.

2. You will provide the login credentials only to the Student(s) signed up by you.

3. The Student shall obtain an exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the online learning environment. This explicitly does not grant permission to reproduce the products or services. TypeOlymp is at all times entitled, at its own discretion, to change the content and appearance of its products. In doing so, TypeOlymp aims to improve the user experience at its discretion.

Artikel 9 - Complaints procedure

1. If You or the Student have a complaint about our services, we will deal with the complaint if it has been made known to info@typeolymp.com within 7 days after the complaint arose, fully and clearly described via e-mail, provided with the Student's username and date of notification.

2. Receipt of the complaint will be confirmed in writing by TypeOlymp within 2 working days.

3. TypeOlymp will provide an appropriate response within 14 days of receiving the complaint. If a complaint requires a longer processing time, TypeOlymp will come within the 14-day period with a notice of receipt and an indication when you can expect a substantiated response.

4. We observe privacy regulations at all times and will handle all complaints with the utmost care.

Artikel 10 - Disputes

This agreement is exclusively governed by Dutch law.

Artikel 11 - Privacy

TypeOlymp respects the privacy of its Course participants. All personal data will only be used internally and treated with care and in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). More information on privacy can be found in our privacy statement.
