How does our course work?
Certificate in 6 weeks
At TypeOlymp, you will learn fast and error-free typing with ten fingers in 6 chapters. If you complete one chapter each week, you will have your typing certificate within 6 weeks!
The starting position
We start by finding the right starting position on the keyboard. You learn which fingers rest on which keys. This forms the basis for learning great typing skills.
Letter by letter
From the starting position you get to know all the keys of the keyboard letter by letter. We start the exercises with single letters so that you get to know each key accurately.
Letters become words
Once you have mastered the basics of the keys, we combine letters into words. Through repetition and practice you will learn to type more and more fluently. Soon you will notice that you can type words effortlessly without even looking at the keyboard.
Words become text
After you can type words effortlessly, you go one step further and words become text. With each exercise, you continue to build your accuracy and speed, until you can take the final exam with confidence.
You have passed!
The course concludes with a final exam. Once you have passed the exam, you can immediately download your typing certificate. This certificate is fully personalised and can be saved or printed to show that you have successfully completed the course.

How long does it take to finish the course and how often should I practise?
Our typing course consists of 6 chapters, each with about 25 exercises. How quickly you complete the course depends on how often and how long you practise. We recommend practising 10 to 30 minutes daily. Based on this rhythm, you can finish the course within 6 to 12 weeks.
Will I receive a typing diploma upon completion?
Yes, at the end of the course you can download a personalised typing certificate! This certificate contains your name and the results of the final exam, so you can see exactly how well you performed.
From what age can my child start the typing course?
Most students who start our typing course are between 8 and 14 years old. As soon as your child regularly uses a keyboard and can concentrate for at least 10 minutes a day, he or she can start the typing course. Our typing course is playful and interactive, keeping it fun and educational even for young children.
Is my tablet compatible to use the application?
Yes, our online learning app is compatible with tablets! However, it is important to connect an external keyboard, as most tablets do not have a physical keyboard. In addition, your tablet must have a screen resolution of at least 1140 pixels to work properly.
